Paperbrass is an independent website that makes everyday paperwork quicker. Freelancers, small-business owners and anyone with a stack of documents can merge and split PDFs, sign forms, scan paper, convert files and create invoices — for free, right in the browser.

Why we built Paperbrass

Paperwork has a way of piling up: a receipt in a coat pocket, a form that has to be signed today, a PDF that is too large to email. The tools to handle it are usually scattered across a dozen websites. Many of them want your files on their servers, hide basic features behind sign-up walls, or bury the page in ads.

We thought simple paperwork deserved a calmer place.

Paperbrass brings everyday document tools together in one quiet, well-designed home. Merge, split, compress, sign, scan, redact and convert, all free, with no account needed. Most importantly, our free tools run entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your own device and never uploaded to us.

Our name comes from the humble brass paper fastener, the small gold pin that has held important papers together for generations. That is the job we want to do for you: keep your paperwork together, simply and reliably, so you can get back to the work that matters.

Our mission

Paperwork tools should be simple enough to use without a tutorial and private enough to trust with a bank statement or a tax form. So every tool does one job well, with sensible defaults and plain words — and does it on your own device.
