This policy describes Paperbrass as it is today: free tools that work in your browser, with no accounts, no file uploads, no ads and no payments. We will update it before we launch accounts, AI tools, advertising or payments, and change the date above when we do.

1. The service

Paperbrass (paperbrass.com) offers free online tools to work with PDFs, images, signatures, invoices and business cards. The tools run in your web browser: your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. No account is needed. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.

2. Using the tools

You may use the tools for personal and business purposes, free of charge. You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or to create forged or misleading documents;
• process documents you don’t have the right to use;
• try to disrupt, overload, break or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems;
• copy or resell the site itself, or present it as your own service.

3. Your files and your results

Your files and everything you create with the tools remain yours. Because processing happens on your device, you are responsible for keeping your own copies — we cannot recover files or results for you.

Always check the results before you rely on them. In particular:

• Text recognition (OCR) and automatic detection can make mistakes. Proofread recognized text and contact details.
• After redacting a PDF, open the result and check every page before sharing it.
• Invoices you create are issued by you. You are responsible for their content, including amounts, tax rates and any details required by law where you do business.

4. No professional advice

Paperbrass does not provide tax, accounting, financial or legal advice. Content on the site is general information only. For advice about your situation, consult a qualified professional.

5. Our content

The site’s design, text, logo and software are owned by Paperbrass or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Some components are open-source software used under their licenses. You may not copy or reuse our branding or content without permission.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available and working well, but we don’t guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any tool will stay the same. We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date shows the current version. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.

7. No warranty

The site and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Paperbrass will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or business, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the site or its tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law that applies to you.
